Hoarders: Graphic Design Edition

By | Tips

As graphic designers, it’s natural to be passionate about all the awesome resources we come across while browsing our favorite sites. New fonts, free vectors, icon packs… There’s a ton of free stuff out there and that’s amazing, the problem is that we freely have access to too much stuff. Read More

Midnight Touge Retro-Futuristic Poster

By | Print

Inspired by awesome nostalgia-riddled cinema like Stranger Things and Drive, I wanted to design a poster in the same retro-futuristic style. ‘Midnight Touge’ was created while listening to pulsing 80’s synths and channeling my inner Hoff.

Felicity Summer Meltdown Tour

Felicity Summer Meltdown Tour Flyer

This is a fun project I put together for some friends in a pop-punk band called Felicity. They wanted an over-the-top retro-futuristic poster for their upcoming Summer Meltdown tour, so I buckled up my fanny pack, cranked my boombox to 11, and got to work.

What is a Graphic Designer

What is a Graphic Designer (Really)?

By | Tips

There are a lot of misconceptions out there about the graphic design industry, from both the client and designer side of things. Some people believe graphic designers are artists, some believe they’re simply middlemen who can bring pre-existing ideas to life (or as I like to call ’em, pixel jockeys), and some believe graphic designers are problem solvers. So what is a graphic designer, really?

Orlando Strong

Orlando Strong

By | Uncategorized

My heart is heavy today as a long-time resident of Orlando. The horrific domestic terrorist attack at Pulse Nightclub has needlessly taken the lives of many innocent people. I reach my love out to all those affected and will continue to keep them in my thoughts.

Bernard Willis Mixtape Cover

Mixtape Cover Design – Bernard Willis

This is a recent design I completed for Sacramento-based MC, Bernard Willis, who needed some cover art for his upcoming mixtape, ‘2 of 3’. B-Will gave me full creative control over the cover design so I had a lot of fun experimenting with color combinations and concepts.

Concert Photography – FELICITY

By | Photography

My friend asked me to photograph his band FELICITY at their recent show at Bombshell’s Tavern in Orlando, so I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try out my new nifty fifty (Canon 50mm f1.8 II lens). It was my first time shooting a concert and was a great learning experience. With the constantly changing lighting, the moving crowd, and the overall low-light environment, it really opened my eyes to the fun (and challenges) that come with concert photography. Read More

Nature Photography – Leu Gardens

By | Photography
I wanted to get in some photography practice with my new Canon Rebel T3i, so my girlfriend and I went for a stroll through Orlando’s Leu Gardens today. It’s hard to believe this place is so close to the city given how naturally beautiful it is. The gardens stretch 50 acres and the trails run about 4 miles long. It was a perfect spot to put my Sigma 18-250 lens to use with all of the wildlife scurrying around. Anyways, check out a few of the pics from the trip below! Read More

Daily Design Day 30: Wisdom Tooth

By | A Design a Day

It’s hard to believe that it’s day 30 of my ’30 Days of Design’ series already. Challenging myself to come up with a new design every day has been a great learning experience. I’ve learned some new programs, discovered some new features in programs I’ve been using, and found a love for some styles I had stayed away from in the past. Anyways, my buddy just had his wisdom teeth out and isn’t feeling too great. So today’s design is a very wise tooth… And a rainbow for good measure.

Daily Design Day 28: The Truth

By | A Design a Day

Paul Pierce ended game 7 of the Nets/Raptors series today with a block at the buzzer to prevent the go-ahead basket. It’s great to see The Truth still playing at such a high level. With the Nets taking on the Heat in the next round, I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of him.
