This is a fun project I put together for some friends in a pop-punk band called Felicity. They wanted an over-the-top retro-futuristic poster for their upcoming Summer Meltdown tour, so I buckled up my fanny pack, cranked my boombox to 11, and got to work.
My flag football team decided to take our game to the next level this season and get some jerseys printed up. Naturally, this means we needed a badass logo that was going to not only make us look good, but also strike fear into the hearts of our opponents, so I opened up Illustrator and got to work.
This is a recent design I completed for Sacramento-based MC, Bernard Willis, who needed some cover art for his upcoming mixtape, ‘2 of 3’. B-Will gave me full creative control over the cover design so I had a lot of fun experimenting with color combinations and concepts.
It’s hard to believe my 30 Days of Design challenge is already over! I’m happy to say that despite a few close-calls and a semi-neglected social life that I was able to successfully complete a design on each of the 30 days. It was a great learning experience, allowing me to try styles I wouldn’t normally work in, hop into programs I don’t use often enough (or even learn new ones), and grow overall as a designer.
